TPM modulation has been available in the Professional version of Parallels for quite a while already and so adding the feature to the Standard version in light of Windows 11 was an easy move for Parallels. Parallels is in fact the only solution officially authorized by Microsoft to run Windows 11 on a Mac. The good news is that the virtual environment Parallels allows you to install Windows 11 on a Mac by simulating the TPM module virtually so that you can install Windows 11 on both Intel and M1/M2 chip Macs. However, to officially support Windows 11 Apple would have to update macOS in Intel Macs to support TPM and Windows 11 and that seems highly unlikely as Apple is currently discontinuing all Intel Macs in favor of the new Apple Silicon M1/M2 chip Macs. MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports).MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports). Intel Macs which have a TPM built into the processor and in theory should be able to officially support Windows 11 are: However, some Intel Macs do have a TPM built into the CPU which in theory, allow those Macs to officially support Windows 11 physically. In fact, even many Windows PCs built before 2014 do not have a TPM and will not be able to run Windows 11. Unfortunately, neither Intel nor M1 or M2 Macs have a TPM built into the motherboard. TPM 2.0 is built into the motherboard of a computer to ensure the integrity of the operating system’s security. This is because Windows 11 requires support for Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0. You can still configure it with custom “cll” files and it supports many video outputs. This version has low latency, but not a full-featured GUI. While it offers the same latency as the original GBP Disc everything else about it is better and the games look great! There are too many options to list here, so for details, please visit the main GBI page linked above. If you launch this version with the Swiss software, you can customize the resolution and aspect ratio as well. The main version offers a ton of features, including an on-screen display, screenshot saving, ROM dumping and some awesome zoom modes. I’ll list basic info here, but for detailed info and an updated spec sheet, please visit the main GBI thread: The Game Boy Interface has a few different versions available, each with their own specific use. This page explains how to run the software, as well as more details about what it does. Original hardware is still required (GameCube and Game Boy Player), however I find it to be a vast improvement over the original, as it supports 240p, low-lag as well as many other options. It’s written by Extrems, who’s also part of the Swiss team. The Game Boy Interface (GBi) is homebrew software that’s a replacement for the GameCube / Game Boy Player boot disc. |
